800 yards of a 2-ply Fingering yarn with a nice stable twist! It has the look of 'cabled' yarns, and the twist allows each ply to "plump" up against the other, yet still maintaining a super soft hand. This will do gorgeous lace work if desired. Each "cake" is 200 grams ~7 ounces, 2-ply with a lovely soft hand, 100% Superwash Merino.
When asked regarding what size needles, my recommendation is to start with a 4, knit a sample and look for "soft and squishy" if your sample is firm, or there is no drape, then you would want to go up in size, consider it your personal private measurement, because the size you use is the right one for you.
The pattern for the "triangle shawl" is included with your purchase, which starts from the center neck down, so there is literally no wasted yarn. This quantity of yarn will create a shawlette size piece.
Just remember to allow for cast off. Gradients are suitable for so many lovely projects.
Carol Larsen (me) used it in weaving and will be introducing a new winding technique that involves gradients where you end up with slowly moving multiple "striping" across the warp. It's a pretty amazing technique developed out of the days where I love to experiment with "what-if-I" do this. Sometimes really great things happen.
